Come join for a free public art installation like none other, especially if you're a fan of alternative music or, in this case, the visual art inspired by its artists: Incubus, Moby, Slayer, Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath...all of my adolescent heartthrobs who didn't kill themselves. Click on the pic to learn more.  I first fell in love with Krys's deeply human characters while reading her short story collection, Drifting House from Penguin Random House. After meeting Krys this past June at Yonsei University where she teaches in Seoul, South Korea, I was hooked again and soon went about pre-ordering my copy of How I Became a North Korean (official release date Aug. 18th) also from Penguin Random House. Hope to see you Aug. 10th!   Ryan Dunlap, author of The Goldfish, is to be commended for winning the 2016 Summer Writing Contest, sponsored by 1888, JukePop, and Black Hill Press.
